How the farm share worksThe farm share works like a CSA in that you pay up-front at the start of the season, or in two installments, and receive a weekly share of freshly picked fruits and veggies. Unlike the typical CSA, Enterprise works with partner farms to include items in the share that they don't grow on their own farm. So the farm share includes a full variety of fruits and veggies, all year round. You can sign up for summer/fall, winter/spring or both. There are three share sizes to choose from. A "small" share is approximately 8 lbs of produce per week and feeds 1-2 people. A "medium" share is approximately 10 lbs of produce per week and feeds 2-3. A "large" share is approximately 15 lbs of produce per week and feeds 3-5 people or 2 adult vegetarians. The Winter/Spring shareIn the winter/spring season (Dec. through May) Enterprise Farm sources fresh-picked organic fruits and veggies through partnerships with small and organic farms, both locally and throughout the East Coast (our regional "foodshed."). The share ranges from local storage crops, hothouse tomatoes and salad greens to Carolina sweet potatoes, Georgia strawberries, Florida avocados, greens and citrus -- all from farms on the East Coast! The Summer/Fall shareIn the summer/fall season (June through Nov.) you get farm-grown organic veggies, plus fruits and veggies from partner farms in the neighborhood, and "you-pick" items at the farm. You can expect everything from salad greens, arugula and spinach, to kale, collards and broccoli, to tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, onions, beets and carrots, to berries, apples, melons and much more.
